Berekalja (Bottom grove)
Berekalja (Bottom grove)
One can reach it walking at the end of eastern side of Csesztve valley, 3 kilometer from Csesztve on surfaced road or walking on the shore of Derek and Fekete streams.
The lake was created at the beginning of 2000 years between Szügy and Mohora villages as an artificial reservoir situating between alongside Kőkapu and hills of Szálaskő. Berekalja gets the permanent supply of water from the watershed of Fekete stream. The reservoir is an ideal waterfowl habitat because of the huge watersurface and relatively shoal depth. The lake is treated by a fishing club which is founded in 2006. Berekalja can be walk around on dirty road, above its southern side a hill named Nagykő surmounts, in its woods one can take a good excursion.
