The building is an establishment under national monument protection. Károly Majthényi built this Baroque styled freestanding one-storied residence in the second half of 18th century. Family Majthényi originated from the genus Divék which was one of the 108 tribes at the times of Árpád prince.
The building was owned later by family Madách. After 1945 a primary school, from 1961 a kindergarten, a library and a teacher flat were accommodated in it. You can find the mayor’s office, the library and a kindergarten as well as an accomodation for 10 people today here.
A scheme-arched arcade with balustrade was built to the residence’s front court, the hatches of which were covered by timber-frame windows around 1960, keeping the original arches.
